Where is Your Line in the Sand?

(Estimated reading time 1 minute)

Have you ever known it was time to change something in your life, but you keep putting it off? Perhaps you have felt the effects of a choice that used to work for you but no longer does. You see the benefits of redesigning what you’re doing, but it doesn’t seem to get further than the odd thought and a return to the status quo.

Somehow choosing to ignore what we know needs changing, seems to have ripple effects in other parts of our lives, and so, what could have been one change to make (when put off) often leads to a need to redesign multiple areas.

Where is your line in the sand? At what point do you cross over and know for sure that now is the time to change? At what point do you start listening to what you already know you need to take care of?

I’m working on some redesign in a few different areas. From a personal standpoint, I will say that I know it’s not easy. One thing I am asking myself is this, “What is the radical act I can take, that will immediately make me feel like I’m well on the road to change in this area?” A radical act is something so bold for you that it should feel somewhat thrilling and terrifying at the same time. It should feel like it is unsettling things, creating space for change and challenging the status quo. It doesn’t have to look like a courageous step for anyone else – it’s your radical act.

What is it you need to do?

Thanks for reading! I appreciate hearing your thoughts, seeing your comments and would love it if you want to share to your social network.

  1. Oh Sue, you have done it again …. hit it right where I am these days . Although I have taken that first step to ease into retirement by requesting a 4 day work week. Thrilling and terrifying? YES.
Radical move ? Maybe not for most people, but I have a hard time woth change….. I like my routine.
Took a year to get to this first step , carefully making sure it was doable, and I am so glad I did it …..next step ??? 3 day work week 🌻🌻🌻🎉

    1. Well done on taking that radical step towards your new life! I’m so glad to hear it’s working for you… a long weekend every week just in time for the summer!
