For years my husband and I have wanted to try cross-country skiing. We finally made it happen two weeks ago. A more beautiful spot you couldn’t imagine, with its snow-filled horse paddock, half frozen river meandering through the property and wooded ski trails.
It was 6 am and the sharp sounds of the alarm woke me out of a deep sleep. My meeting the previous evening had run late and the last thing I felt like doing was getting up to make my 6:30 am lap swim time.
