Who am I?

Seeing things in a new way and appreciating overlooked beauty are two things that bring me great joy. I express that in part through one of my hobbies, photography, but it’s also one of the reasons I love coaching. I get to look with a fresh set of eyes. I get to find and share the unseen and unappreciated in people. I am thrilled by witnessing the dawn, because it reminds me each day that we have the power to step beyond life’s shadows. We have a choice. It reminds me that the sun always rises.

I am married to Chris, who is my biggest supporter and continually inspires me in so many ways. This year we celebrate our 28th anniversary! We have two wonderful sons and one lovely daughter-in-law. We live in Ontario, Canada, with our golden retriever, Phoenix, who keeps us active and brings lots of exuberant energy to our home.

I was born and raised in South Africa. You’ll hear it in my accent. My fierce belief that all people matter was forged in those years.

I got my honours degree in social work from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. After discovering my love of connecting deeply with others with the hopes to inspire and encourage, I got my Certified Professional Co-Active Coach designation. Shortly after, I became accredited by the International Coach Federation (ACC).

I believe that no one is a lost cause. It’s never too late to start and just because something is hard, doesn’t mean it is impossible.

I hope by reading my blog or coaching with me you will be encouraged to step beyond whatever it is that shadows your life. Now is your moment.
