COURAGE OVER COMFORT

This year I want to be someone who chooses courage over comfort. I want to be someone who makes time for what is important not only for what is easy. I want to look daily for ways to spread love over hate, bring people together, make peace, inspire those around me to reach higher, live better and believe more. I want to live in possibility, live in hope instead of filtering my dreams through fear, through what is easily achievable. I want to leave what is easy for the faint of heart. I want to reach deeper into faith. I want to be brave and bold. I want to leave behind the shackles of my own self perception. I want to let go of the weight of what others think.

So I enter this moment ready to exercise courage, to be a peacemaker, ready to bring hope and be loving, ready to let go of fear, self doubt and comparison with others.

It is not so much the grand dramas of our lives that transform us as it is the tiny one-acts we produce in between.

Good thing I was ready! Some hours after I wrote this blog I was offered a part time job writing for a magazine. This was somewhat terrifying and exhilarating at the same time.  I am still working out some of those details but it seems that their mission is aligned with my own and I feel the future opening up.

Here’s to living with clarity, courage, compassion and confidence!

  5. You really make it appear so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be really something that I feel I’d never understand. It sort of feels too complex and extremely broad for me. I’m taking a look forward for your next put up, I’ll try to get the grasp of it!

    1. Thanks for commenting here Alex. There is nothing easy about courage or about living in possibility. It doesn’t mean it’s not worth trying! Like you, I find these things very difficult. Let me know if there is something specific you would like to hear more about.
